Jessie Hong
AI Workshop Judge
Jessie Hong is a Machine Learning Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. She currently works on recommendation systems and target-aware sequential models at Meta.
She first became excited about technology through student hackathons, where she experienced the creativity and momentum of building ideas into real tools with impact. That experience sparked a broader interest in socially driven innovation, leading her to collaborate with nonprofits, support (student-led) tech initiatives, and serve as a judge for youth hackathons and competitions.
Jessie is especially interested in advancing software engineering and machine learning in ways that are both technically rigorous and socially meaningful. She continues to deepen her engagement with the field by researching topics in recommendation systems and transformers, and contributing to events and communities that inspire curiosity, learning, and innovation. She looks forward to ongoing involvement with programs that bring thoughtful, passionate minds together.
