A Bit About Me
Claire Xu is committed to research impact. Inspired by her research internship experience at the Stanford Neurology Lab, she dived deeper into computational neuroscience to discover the non-invasive blood-based marker gene panels for early Alzheimer's disease. Her research won the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Special Award 1st Place, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics 3rd Place, Regeneron Biomedical Science Award, and the Grand Prize for the Best of Championship Biological Sciences.
She was honored with the Most Promising Young Scientist Award. In a TEDx Talk, Claire shared her practices to manage stress and gain control in the rapid swirl of the tech world by being a tech creator instead of a consumer.
Claire Xu is a strong advocate for transforming research innovations into tangible solutions with real-world impact. One of her notable projects involves pioneering a groundbreaking system aimed at training socio-emotional skills in autistic children using computer vision. Her research yielded compelling results, with three out of four participant subtypes from 15 cities of 4 countries demonstrating statistically significant improvement, a testament to her innovative approach and dedication to addressing pressing societal needs.
In another remarkable venture, Claire and her partner innovated sustainable vegan leather from 100% biodegradable materials. Her efforts earned her recognition, including the National 2nd Place of Engineering at the 2023 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge, as well as being named a National Top 30 Finalist.

Driven by her passion for knowledge-sharing and collaboration, she’s eager to engage with like-minded researchers and enthusiasts to amplify the impact of research innovations.
